Babs’ Café in the Woods is our in-house dining space, where all our meals are served. Our adjoining open kitchen is truly our happy place—where everything is prepared with care, intention, and love.

We are a vegetarian café (we do serve eggs), and we deeply believe that kindness is essential as a way of life—and that it must reflect in the choices we make, including the food we cook and serve.

Attached to the café is our farm, where we are slowly growing a food forest using plants endemic to the region—berries, kachnar, fruit trees, salad greens, herbs, and vegetables. Along with locally sourced produce, these come together to create meals that are wholesome, nourishing, and at times gently experimental.

We follow a seasonal approach, ensuring freshness and quality are never compromised. Much of what we serve—from pickles to ice creams, and even some of our cheeses—is made in-house. We also consciously avoid the use of any single-use plastic.

Dining at the Café

• Fixed menus curated around seasonal, locally available produce
• A mix of cuisines including North Indian, Kumaoni, Continental & Italian
• All meals are elaborate, wholesome, and vegetarian (we do serve eggs)
• Menu preferences can be discussed in advance; last-minute requests may not be possible
• Wood-fired oven is lit during favourable weather for special occasions and is not part of the daily service
• Freshly brewed cappuccinos and other coffee options available; plant-based milk offered subject to availability

While the café is open to outside guests, we host by reservation only. Our meals are served as a 5-6 course seasonal experience, curated around what the land offers us at the time. We request at least 24 hours’ notice—because we believe good food cannot be rushed; it must be grown, gathered, and prepared with time, patience, and love.
